Russ Kommer, the designer, was a well-known guide in Alaska.
The idea of making this knife came to his mind at his working place. He wanted a light and handy knife which would save its sharpening and would be easy to clean. His work was to skin and cut cariboo that were killed by tourists.
In the end he created that knife for himself, which was produced later under CRKT brand.

This model has a rather wide blade which is sharp as a razor, the slopes of the knife are concave. Primordially this knife was made for cutting that's why it deals with meat so good. So this knife can be used the way it was meant to. But sometimes length of blade isn't enough for some kinds of work, for example, cutting bread.
However the blade isn't considered as short. In the same it may seem too unwieldy for some life tasks.

At first sight we can see that the handle is unusual but it's rather handy because of two hollows for fingers. This knife is convenient for any grip and it doesn't matter if you're a right-hander or a left-hander. We couldn't find any backlashes, but construction of the handle is so that there's rather big hole between billets of the handle and the blade. On the one hand it's convenient when you can wash the knife after doing your work with it, but if there's no opportunity to do that?
A prong is used for opening the knife and you can see it's different on both sides. So minimal skill for opening may be required.
The clip of this knife has a significant deficiency: it cannot be moved when a lefthander uses the knife, so the only way is to remove one.

In general the knife is rather good especially for work it was meant to do.
The price varies from 50$ to 90$.
